In Monday’s historical meeting that included insurers, hospital representatives, physicians, medical device companies, pharmaceutical companies, labor, and administration officials, the focus was on comprehensive health care reform as key to laying a new foundation for our economy.

    This is all probably a Trojan Horse, an effort by the “insurance mafia” to water down legislation or defeat it entirely. Obama should focus on creation of a public plan competing against private “mafia” plans. In short order those greedy evil-doers will be shown the door by the public who most probably will flock to the public plan. Then we can just have one single-payer system and save hundreds of billions of dollars.
